This is an exciting time at Venture Trust and we’re looking for a new Director of Operations to join our organisation. This is an important and diverse role, and as a member of the Senior Leadership team, the Director of Operations will work alongside colleagues to develop, embed and grow our new multidisciplinary locality teams to apply our developmental approach in communities, in greenspaces and across Scotland’s wilder places.
We would like our new Director of Operations to:
1. Provide strategic leadership across all Venture Trust operations and participant service portfolio including 1:1, therapeutic and adventurous activity provision.
2. Lead on ensuring the quality and safety of Venture Trust’s operations across all our services.
3. Innovate new provision, health and safety and staff learning and development.

Heart of Scotstoun Community Centre is a charity owned by the people of Scotstoun in the north bank of the River Clyde in the west of Glasgow. You will play a key role in leading and delivering the best care and support for children. As an experienced leader you will work with key strategic partners in Moray and Highlands to design and deliver services and models of care that offer the required support for children, young people and families.
You will oversee the leadership and management of our established services including our registered disability residential and respite service, our community youth support service both located in Elgin and our service for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children based in Inverness. You will also work with commissioners to identify future needs and growth opportunities.
You will have demonstrable management level experience in social care within the public, private or voluntary sector. You will thrive on building positive relationships with commissioners, local government, NHS, other third sector partners and trusts to identify opportunities for growth and additional funding. You will also be driven to influence local and national strategy, policy and practice to the benefit of vulnerable people.
You will hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 9 or above plus a management qualification at SCQF level 8 or above.

What will you do as Chief Officer?

As the Chief Officer, you will be responsible for providing visionary leadership, managing operations, and driving our strategic objectives. You will work closely with the Board of Trustees to ensure the charity’s mission is effectively communicated and implemented while engaging with the community, stakeholders, and partners to promote our initiatives and values.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Strategic Leadership – Develop and implement the charity's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the mission and values. Lead the organisation in identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
2. Board Engagement – Collaborate with the Board of Trustees, providing regular updates and insights on organisational performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
3. Operational Management – Oversee the daily operations of ReTweed, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of programs and services. Implement policies and procedures that promote operational excellence.
4. Financial Oversight – Manage the charity's finances, including budgeting, financial planning, and reporting. Ensure compliance with funding requirements and maintain effective relationships with funders and stakeholders.
5. Team Leadership – Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of staff and volunteers. Develop a positive organisational culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
6. Community Engagement – Build and maintain relationships with local communities, stakeholders, and partners to enhance ReTweed's visibility and impact. Advocate for the charity’s mission and values within the community and beyond.
What does ReTweed need from you?

4. 4+ Years Managerial Experience – A minimum of four years of managerial experience, demonstrating strong leadership and team management capabilities.

6. Passion for the ReTweed Cause – A genuine commitment to the mission of ReTweed, inspiring others to engage with and support our initiatives.
7. Change Management – Experience in leading change initiatives, with the ability to manage resistance and communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout transitions.
Go Youth Trust have an amazing management opportunity for the right candidate to join us during a period of growth. We seek a highly gifted, motivated and experienced Youth Work professional, with proven leadership and management capability, to be the key point of contact for young people engaging with our Propel programme.
Propel is a brand-new programme which Go! Youth Trust is delivering on behalf of Falkirk Council and the Local Employability Partnership. Propel will work with young people aged 16-25 who are not engaging with education, employment or training providers. Working alongside Skills Development Scotland to engage young people who have been identified as not engaging with any employability or educational supports.
Through a blend of 1:1 engagement, small group work and peer support the Propel Youth Worker will work with young people to give them the skills, experience and confidence to take their first steps into education, employment or training.
