The Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Registered Manager in leading a team of care professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the home operates smoothly and in compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Key Responsibilities: Support the Registered Manager in overseeing daily operations of the home. Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of residential care workers. Ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets the individual needs of each child. Promote a positive and therapeutic environment that fosters emotional well-being and development. Assist in the development and implementation of care plans. Manage staff rotas, training, and performance appraisals. Handle safeguarding concerns effectively and report appropriately. Engage with external professionals such as social workers, therapists, and educators. About You: To be successful in this role, you should have: A Level 3 or 4 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent (essential). Previous experience in a leadership role within a children's residential care setting. Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted regulations. Excellent leadership and communication skills. A passion for working with vulnerable children and young people. The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively. A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
