Here at Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a passionate and driven qualified PE teacher or sports coach to work full time in a mainstream secondary school in Coventry. The school are interested in an individual with vast experience, someone who can instil a love of sport into the most disengaged pupils whilst encouraging positive team spirit and sportsmanship. Location: Coventry Hours: Full Time Start Date: Ideally before Feb HT Pay: To scale for qualified teachers, £150 a day for sports coaches dependent upon experience As a PE teacher at this school, you will work closely with your fellow colleagues in the PE department to ensure pupils health and wellbeing are promoted positively. You will be responsible for actively engaging pupils in all forms of sport and physical exercise, in line with the national curriculum. You will be encouraged to use engaging and dynamic teaching styles to inspire learners. Ideal Candidate: - QTS in PE - Bachelors degree in Physical Education - Coaching badges - L3 sports coaching qualification - Experience teaching PE in a UK secondary school - Experience supporting children with special educational needs in a sports/learning capacity You will be responsible for delivering key PE lessons to years 7-11, covering a range of sports and topics. You will ensure safeguarding principles are at the forefront of your practice and you will always follow the schools policies and procedures. Your commitment to extra curricular activities will play a pivotal role in the engagement in pupils with PE as a subject.
