We have an opportunity for an Older Persons Team Manager to join our Extra Care teams based in Cardigan and Crymych. With your customer focused approach and genuine desire to help people you will ensure that we provide excellent services for our tenants, service users and other stakeholders. Your role is to ensure that the people we support can live happily and as independently as possible in their own homes.
The vacancy will be a 13 month fixed term post to cover maternity leave from February 2025. Dates will be confirmed closer to start date.
Main Duties:
You will ensure the successful delivery of our Extra Care services through the management of the Front of House service and Estates team as well as potentially managing on-site and local support services. You and your teams will deliver a person-centred service which creates a genuine and positive atmosphere within the community and where you manage support services you will ensure that they are person focused and deliver positive outcomes for people in line with our contractual requirement.
You will contribute to the identification and delivery of agreed organisation’s objectives and contribute to policy development in addition to writing various procedures. Importantly you will work within our values at all times and provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

Housing Management
To aim to make our tenants happy with and in their homes.
To ensure that tenants understand their rights and responsibilities.
To manage the empty homes and lettings which includes initial viewings and assessment of tenants, potentially along with the care manager to ensure suitability, as well as sign ups and any ongoing support.
To ensure the provision of an efficient rent and rent arrears management service in accordance with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
To positively manage complaints, including those of anti-social behaviour.
To ensure that all appropriate action is taken in respect of the tenancy management which may include attending court, where necessary, in respect of rent arrears or any other breaches of tenancy conditions.
Supervisory and Managerial Responsibilities:
As a line manager you will be able to demonstrate the ability to inspire, lead and
motivate colleagues by developing a culture of co-operation and collaboration.
You will role model positive, values-based behaviours, and instil these within your
teams. You will be directly managing:
Front of house team
Estates Officer
Support service officers/workers
Volunteers
Ability to communicate (written and verbal) in Welsh is desirable.
Current driving licence and use of a vehicle for work purposes as you will be covering multiple sites as well as potential travel to other events/locations (essential).
