£29,329 to £35,943 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The University of Nottingham has been providing an outstanding student experience for over 140 years and is a leading university of worldwide significance with established campuses in the UK, China, and Malaysia.
We require an experienced Site Maintenance Team Leader to control the onsite activities of a multi-skilled team of Engineering and Building Services operatives across our U.K sites undertaking planned and reactive maintenance. The successful candidate will be required to take a hands-on approach, allocating resources to ensure work is completed promptly and accurately while adhering to all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
You will carry out workplace inspections, completing the required documentation, and will liaise with external contractors and consultants providing relevant information to ensure their safety while onsite. You will also be the first point of contact for urgent maintenance requests from the Estates Office helpdesk and other key contacts within University Schools and departments.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Candidates should be qualified to a minimum of NVQ 3 or equivalent in a Building or Building Services Engineering discipline and have continued post qualification training.
2. Excellent knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services.
3. Proven experience of leading, motivating and supervising trade staff undertaking maintenance activities.
4. Understanding of the requirement for Risk Assessments and method statements and the ability to minimize safety risks in the workplace.
5. A valid driving licence is essential for this role due to the frequency of travel between university sites.

Hours of work are 36.25 per week, worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged.
The post will be offered on a full-time (36.25 hours per week), permanent contract. Job share arrangements may be considered.
