Payroll Exploration Lead – UK – 12 Month FTC
About the Role
DP World are recruiting for a Payroll Exploration Lead to support our UK sites. The purpose of this job role is to explore and align payroll services across all UK businesses. This includes identifying and mapping all activities, defining payroll processes, and proposing a comprehensive portfolio of payroll services. The role involves designing a target operating model for UK payroll, developing customer guides, training, and communications for users across various countries. Additionally, it encompasses business governance reporting, benchmarking services, and managing payroll team training and development.
NOTE: this role can be based in either Essex, London or Hinckley. It will involve regular travel to a number of our UK sites.
How you will contribute
* Exploration of payroll services (initially UK) across all businesses and HR/Finance responsibilities.
* Identification of all activities and mapped alignment.
* Aligning and defining all payroll processes (UK) pan business.
* Identification of all areas of best practice and weakness for all areas currently engaged in activity.
* Defining and proposing the portfolio - menu of services & level (if differentiated) for payroll services for the UK.
* Designing the target operating model (TOM) required UK payroll as well as the organisation to run this.
* Designing and developing fit for purpose customer guides, training and communications across all users and countries within target user group.
* Business governance reporting and management; tracking and measurement, SLA’s, customer satisfaction.
* Benchmarking of services internally/externally.
* Payroll team training and development structures, systems and implementation.
* HR payroll policy management & development.
What you will bring
* Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labour relations, business, or a field related to the position or similar.
* 3-5 years leadership experience.
* Strong Payroll experience in the UK (European experience is advantageous).
* Strong customer service, policy and governance track record.
* Experience of alignment of payroll services or similar.
* Experience of implementation of Payroll systems and services in complex organisations with legacy terms and conditions.
* Experience in implementing Self Service products to end users.
* Strong process, data and systems orientation.
