Generator Service Engineers

The Role
* Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on a variety of diesel generator sets.
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
* Troubleshoot control panel issues, including replacing components when necessary.
* Conduct Load Banking and mains failure testing in line with customer needs.
* Source and order parts required for maintenance and repairs.
* Stay up to date with training and industry developments to enhance technical skills.
* Complete and submit detailed service reports promptly.
* Schedule and coordinate repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
* Work closely with the internal service team to maintain effective communication and teamwork.
The Person
* Time-served generator engineer or qualified to NVQ Level 3.
* Generator experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong understanding of electronics and mechanical components, including engines and alternators.
* Willing to work overtime, including mid-week, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.
* Able to participate in an on-call rota when required.
* Capable of completing and understanding risk assessments.
* Experience in a mobile engineering role is beneficial.
* Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
* Comfortable dealing with a wide range of customers across different industries.

* Overtime paid after 40 hours, with an estimated OTE of £55k – £70k
