Salary: £7,007.60 - £7,040.05
Work Schedule: 12.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (Monday - Friday)
Working Times: 11:30am - 2:00pm
The Facilities Services (Catering) are looking for a Cook 1 (General Catering Assistant) to lead the servery kitchen at Castle Kennedy Primary School while performing general catering tasks associated with the delivery of school meals.
You must be an energetic and enthusiastic person who will carry out the following tasks:
1. Light food preparation
2. Serve meals
3. Setting up and decanting of the dining room
4. Setting up service area
5. Cash handling as required
6. Dishwashing and general kitchen duties
7. Clearing down and cleaning kitchens and staff rest areas
8. Carry out electronic paperwork
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, will need to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check.
Experience is not necessary as full training will be provided if required. You will also receive Basic Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness training.
