An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Dorset National Landscape team to help support the work of the team and partnership. The Dorset National Landscape team is the dedicated staff team for the Dorset National Landscape Partnership and is hosted by Dorset Council. The Dorset National Landscape Partnership is committed to conserving and enhancing the area’s natural beauty for generations to come, a responsibility which is set out in a Management Plan. This is a full-time role until the end of June 2026 and will be based within the small, friendly, and dynamic Dorset National Landscape team. The role is largely home-based as most of the Dorset National Landscape team work from home with 1 day a week in the office. The post holder can also work from Dorset Council offices at County Hall, Dorchester if they wish. What you can expect to be doing: To provide general administrative support for the Dorset National Landscape Team and Partnership To assist team members and the Partnership with a variety of projects, helping to deliver the Dorset National Landscape Management Plan To provide support with financial management/ procurement and grant administration To be involved in the organisation of various events across Dorset National Landscape, providing opportunities for people to engage with the natural environment through arts, culture, food, as well as more traditional ways such as guided walks To assist in raising the awareness of Dorset National Landscape, and its special properties, amongst the general public and other stakeholders To work occasional weekends and evenings at shows/events/meetings To undertake other reasonable duties relevant to this role, in consultation with your line manager. About you You will need to be extremely well-organised, digitally savvy, financially literate, have experience of supporting project and have excellent communication skills. If you are passionate about connecting people to nature, are an exceptional organiser and communicator, love to work in partnership and alongside colleagues, and thrive in an energetic working environment, we would love to hear from you. You will need to have a flexible approach to work, travelling to meetings and events, working in the office and at home, and working at occasional evening and/or weekend events and meetings if required, including set up and take down.
