Role Overview:
Orri is looking for a highly motivated Finance Associate to work within the finance team, taking on a broad range of responsibilities and gaining from the associated learning across several aspects of commercial finance. This is an entry level position with excellent opportunity for personal and professional career growth and development. The role is a key part of the finance team, assisting in the day-to-day financial functions of the business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The overall aim of the role is to work with the Finance Manager and Finance Director to maintain and improve levels of financial planning, reporting and control. This may include but not be limited to:
* Population of, and providing commentary on, the monthly management accounts, including journal posting for accruals, prepayments, revenue deferral, depreciation and other standard month-end and in-month journals.
* Processing accounts payable invoices, seeking approvals and setting up payment runs.
* Submitting accounts receivable invoices to insurance companies and liaising with them to minimise debtors days.
* Monitoring the Finance mailbox and escalating queries.
* Bank, expense system (Pleo) and credit card system (Stripe) setup, processing and reconciliation.
* Adhoc client or bill payer queries relating to accounts receivable invoices.
* Supporting the clinical team with changes to treatment plans.
* Preparation of the VAT return.
* Population of the cash flow forecast.
* Initial review of the monthly payroll file (with oversight from Finance Manager).
* Ad hoc financial analysis.
Desired Skills and Expertise:
* Passion and interest for working in eating disorders or mental health.
* General experience in finance, ideally two to three years.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
* Relevant finance or accounting qualifications.
* Exposure to accounting software.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
