With its own clinical team, Care Without Compromise has a particular expertise in understanding and supporting individuals with challenging behaviours. Specialist therapeutic services are integrated into the day to day person-centred support offered to the people we support, enabling them to progress towards a more meaningful and enjoyable daily life. Staff are fully trained in Positive Behavioural Support and are encouraged to develop their skills and career with the company, providing consistency and stability in the services. Overview of the role The role of the Senior Social Care Worker is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst making sure you always provide the highest level of care and lead by example. You will also liaise with the seniors in the home reporting any matters of concern. You must have experience in the care sector and have the willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge. Key duties Taking the lead with supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment Supervising a team and assisting with the overall management of the service Liaising with managers and other shift leaders Executing any tasks allocated in a professional, timely and accurate manner Supervising and sharing mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining Assisting residents in their daily activities whether this be in or away from the service Using your initiative when supporting residents during their activities and with day-to-day tasks Personal attributes Being patient, reliable, flexible, a team player and a good communicator are key characteristics of a successful Senior Social Care Worker.
