Account Executive

The Role
You will support Axicom in the work we carry out for our tech clients and work with leading tech brands, translating what it is they do into the impact they have on companies, societies, and individuals.
You will be proactively supporting your team with lots of enthusiasm to learn, attention to detail and appetite to build relationships with journalists across sectors. If you love to read the news and talk to people, we want to hear from you!
As an Account Executive, you will:
Client and team relationship management
* Implement day to day activities for clients including contact reports, responding to enquiries, status updates, book and attend meetings and provide project management support
* Understand and stay up to date with developments within your client’s business and industry (issues, marketing objectives, technology, products, key competitors, marketplace, trends etc) by undertaking research, reading business plans, attending meetings and asking relevant, pertinent questions
* Work closely with your client teams in supporting client and agency objectives whilst maintaining a consistent and concise reporting process so your team are consistently updated and aware of your progress
* Effectively manage project planning and timelines providing an efficient and ‘no surprises’ support to the team and client
* Develop an awareness of issues and crisis protocols for your client
* Demonstrate an ability to research and write different styles of copy for a variety of audiences including news releases, case studies, bi-lined articles and web/social media content. All materials should be finished to a high standard and require minimal alteration by your manager
Media
* Review a broad range of media daily proactively looking for new opportunities for your clients/team and sharing key topics/findings with the broader team as appropriate
* Develop a solid knowledge of digital marketing tactics and social platforms, search and identify key opinion leaders and remain abreast of issues faced and relating to your clients
* Collate, analyse and evaluate media coverage gained on behalf of your clients
* Compile and share daily press summaries with your team and clients where relevant
New Business
* Support the team on new business by carrying out research in the media compiling competitor analysis or collating and organising materials
Project management/research
* Develop and maintain solid research skills both on and offline
* Organise small scale events for clients or your team, taking responsibility for all logistics, third party supplier liaison and be intuitive to potential issues raising these along with suggested solutions where possible to your line manager
Finance
* Accurately record and bill your time using Maconomy
* Working with client leads/line managers understand the hours allocated to you and the scope of work involved
* Ensure all financial protocols including setting up vendors, purchase orders are understood and adhered to
* Understand and begin to source cost estimates for 3rd party suppliers, locations for events, and inserts for press packs whilst tracking all spend against pre-agreed budgets.
General
* Develop and maintain a strong understanding of PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other relevant systems to support the team in new business, presentations, reports, budget sheets, media roundups etc
* Ensure pertinent client information/materials are accurately labelled and saved centrally regularly
* Create an inclusive and welcoming environment
* Provide support and mentoring where necessary to interns and trainees
