They craft unique, high-quality installations using hardwoods, architectural metals, and other premium materials.We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Materials and Procurement Coordinator to join their dynamic team. This is a pivotal role within the business, responsible for sourcing materials and services at the best value while ensuring timely delivery to support our manufacturing programmes.You'll work closely with internal departments-including sales, design, and production-and develop strong relationships with suppliers to resolve technical queries, manage procurement processes, and support smooth project delivery.This position would suit someone with procurement experience in a manufacturing or construction-related environment, particularly with knowledge of joinery or metalwork. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with estimators during the tender process to obtain accurate budget pricing and flag long-lead items. Liaise with suppliers to resolve technical queries before drawings are submitted for approval. Place orders for requisitioned items, balancing cost-effectiveness with timely delivery. Track and expedite deliveries to align with project schedules, escalating issues as necessary to the Setting Out or Contract Manager. Manage sub-contract procurement and monitor progress to ensure project requirements are met. Resolve any delivery delays or supply issues in collaboration with the relevant departments. Match delivery notes against goods received and manage any defective items with suppliers. Process and verify supplier invoices against deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and obtain credit notes as needed. Follow all relevant company procedures and standing instructions, including glass checking and invoice management protocols. Address and resolve commercial disputes with suppliers in the best interest of the company.
