As a Field Engineer, you’ll be working with our engineering teams and field crews where you’ll support key maintenance and operational activities as well as help shape the future of our energy infrastructure. With a 3 / 2 Hybrid split (office / WFH), this role is based in Southbank.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to :
* Provide on and off-site engineering support for network incidents, investigating equipment failures, defects, and incidents.
* Develop and author maintenance and operational plans for new and existing distribution assets to drive and improve network and asset performance.
* Provide technical engineering and analytical support for scoping, design, construction, operation and maintenance.
* Liaise with the Control and Operations Room and work management teams for planning, scheduling, and monitoring efforts.
* Work with Distribution Network Management and Operational teams to resolve engineering challenges with practical solutions.
* Provide technical input on equipment condition, risk assessments, project scopes, and business cases for strategic needs.
* Evaluate risks related to primary plant operations and works and collaborate to minimise underperformance and impact on the network.
* Support health and safety initiatives, contributing to health and safety rate targets and a safety-focused work environment.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of :
* Bachelor of Engineering / Experienced Advance Diploma of ESI Power Industry.
* At least 3+ years’ experience working in Engineering.
* Skills in areas such as Problem Solving, Communication, Results Driven and understanding Risk Management.
* Knowledge in CAD is preferred.
* Understanding of asset management principles is preferred.
* Understanding of primary plant (including circuit breakers, capacitor banks etc) and transformers is preferred.
* Strong commitment to community and employee safety in service provision.
* Ability to build relationships and lead initiatives for successful business outcomes.
