Job Description
Reporting to the R2R Director, we are looking for a technically strong R2R Manager to take on responsibility for delivering the monthly management reporting schedules, statutory accounts, and key statistical analysis for the Corporate entities within the EMEA Finance Operations structure, as well as driving key strategic projects.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with key regional stakeholders and lead a team in delivering accurate and insightful data to help support key decision-making and strategy development. This role will provide the opportunity to work across many areas of finance and receive strong exposure to senior finance & functional leaders, representing a great platform for developing a career at Sage.
This is a secondment opportunity till September 2026, hybrid working, 3 days per week in our Newcastle office.
Key Responsibilities
Summary of the Role
This role involves managing the Record-to-Report (R2R) process for the Corporate market, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while delivering high-quality support to stakeholders. You’ll drive continuous improvement, oversee audits and statutory reporting, and provide expertise on complex accounting matters.
What I Will Be Doing
You’ll lead the end-to-end R2R process, ensuring accurate monthly closes, insightful analysis, and effective balance sheet management. This includes overseeing audits, managing statutory financial statements, and contributing to strategic projects like M&A and ledger alignment. You’ll streamline processes, implement best practices, and support strategic decision-making. Additionally, you’ll mentor team members, foster collaboration, and build strong relationships with internal teams such as Tax and Treasury.
What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a financial expert with strong experience in R2R processes, technical accounting (e.g., FX and hedging), and audit management. You should have a proactive approach to process improvement and a proven ability to lead and mentor teams. Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to handle complex accounting challenges and drive strategic initiatives.
