4. You will work as part of the construction delivery team, taking direction from the construction lead and project senior leadership team.
5. You will build relationships to manage and influence stakeholders, both internally and externally.
6. You will build a strong working relationship with your clients and support the construction lead in turning the client’s vision into a deliverable onsite plan.
7. Act as Network Rail’s day-to-day site representative to monitor so that the contractor’s site activities are conducted safely and efficiently with minimum impact on the environment and operational railway, and the work is of a high standard and in accordance with the relevant specifications and latest practices.
8. Monitor so that site activities comply with GRIP or PACE, relevant rules, regulations, railway group and network rail’s company standards and all applicable procedures and legislation.
9. Review in conjunction with the protection engineer, the contractor’s method statements and site specific risk assessments.
10. Monitor by liaison with appropriate network rail personnel whether arrangements for access, possession, storage, worksites etc. have been made to facilitate the efficient completion of work.
11. Monitor the contractor’s management of site works by regular site meetings at which details of the locations of, nature of, and number of staff to be employed upon each element of the work shall be established for the period until the next meeting.
12. Monitor progress of the works by regular site visits and inspections, comparing work in progress with contract documentation, and information given at site meetings and with the overall contract programme.
13. Maintain a regular and frequent site presence at all worksites and continually monitor, and correct where necessary, the standard and methods of work, being always vigilant for inadequacies.
14. Maintain site diary as appropriate.
15. Provides functional support to project managers as directed.

22. Relevant successful construction experience in the railway industry.
23. Environmental awareness.

28. CSCS/CITB SMTS scheme
29. Nebosh certificate.
You’ll also have:

32. Working towards membership of MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
33. Experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the Rail sector.
34. Construction management expertise.
35. Developing commercial and financial acumen.
36. Experience leading parts of construction projects within large, diverse teams.
37. Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders.
38. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
