Job Purpose: To provide support to the Technical & Energy Bureau operations in relation to HVAC and associated control systems. Provide subject matter expertise for HVAC controls to Bureau operations, field operations and contractors. To be the point of escalation for any technical query with HVAC controls/strategy. To support, coach and train Bureau colleagues on HVAC control systems. Liaise with hardware and software vendors to ensure correct operation of control systems and devices. Manage the HVAC controls contractor relationships Principal Accountabilities: Carry out the role responsibilities in a professional and pro-active manner Ensure Bureau Operators have the correct knowledge and training on HVAC controls to allow them to carry out their role effectively Troubleshoot issues raised by the Field and Bureau teams to ensure continued monitoring of HVAC equipment Manage the HVAC controls hardware replacement/repair procedure Provide support and insights for customer and internal continuous improvement Utilise PowerBI, and other software systems, to manipulate data in order to identify issues and highlight potential solutions Maintain electronic records in line with Data Quality procedures Liaise with field engineering teams, and internal/external asset and remodel project teams to ensure all existing and new assets are correctly incorporated into the controls infrastructure Provide input to identify new processes or features that will support the continuous improvement of the control system infrastructure Plan and manage own workload in an efficient and effective manner Ensure that the HVAC controls contractor is providing a high level of service within the allocated budget Attend training courses as and where necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments Support the Bureau operation in relation to scoping, implementation, training and ongoing support of new customers and/or processes Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, and develop a good working relationship with all City colleagues, sub-contractors and customers Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times Comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the Line Manager Key Performance Indicators: Quality of diagnosis and resolution for issues Response to service requests within agreed timeframes Colleague relationship feedback Quality of training and training materials General Education Essential: Standard Grade Level in at least 5 subjects, including English and Mathematics Desirable: Higher Grade level in English and a STEM subject Specific Knowledge Essential: Siemens Desigo PX hardware/software, Commercial HVAC system components, HVAC network connectivity and troubleshooting, Training others on HVAC controls, Trend IQVision software/system. Desirable: Additional HVAC control systems e.g., Trend, Niagara, RDM, Schneider. RDM TDB program creation, editing and troubleshooting.
