**Female Personal Assistant / Carer Required in Macclesfield, SK10**
**£11.50 per hour**
**Up to 23 hours per week - This role is to join a team of PAs and hours will vary on a weekly basis. Flexible hours will be discussed at interview. **
**Purpose of the Job**
I am a mum, with a 12 year old child, who has limited mobility. I need assistance to live as independently as possible, including getting my wheelchair in and out of the car and helping me get around, helping me to do tasks such as cook, wash and clean the house. I need help going swimming, going to my health appointments, trying to allow me to exercise. I also require assistance with taking my son out to places, such as his clubs, out for exercise and to places of interest.
**Main Duties**
I need a friendly, enthusiastic PA who will assist me in caring for myself and my son
To provide help with shopping and meal prep as required
To assist with house keeping
Assist me / or my son to access social activities such as the cinema, afterschool clubs and eating out
To drive me to / or accompany me in my wheelchair adapted vehicle to attend activities and appointments
The main duties identified in the job description are examples of the expectations required; I may on occasions reasonably request additional activities to be undertaken inside or outside of the home.
**Personal Assistant Specification**
My assistant will ideally have experience of working with children.
My assistant must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable, must respect my privacy and maintain my dignity at all times.
My assistant must be enthusiastic and flexible with a caring disposition.
You must be able to work well independently.
The personal assistant should understand their role in facilitating the self-defined needs of the employer and her family
Experience is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.
The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure which will be funded through your employer
** Supervision**
My personal assistant is accountable to me in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what my needs are and listen to my directions and requests.
