Your role of Steward at Historic Environment Scotland will be a fixed term position up until 30/9/25. The likely start date for this role is in April 2025.

As part of the Visitor & Community team, you will help visitors create memories to last a lifetime at these fantastic properties: Arbroath Abbey, Claypotts Castle, St Vigeans Museum & Edzell Castle.
At Arbroath Abbey, your base site, you will share stories about William the Lion, who founded the Abbey in 1178. At Edzell Castle, you will discuss the history of the Lindsays and the significance of the Seven Cardinal Virtues, Seven Liberal Arts & the Seven Planetary Deities in relation to the gardens. At St Vigeans, you may engage with specialized groups about Pictish Stones and local wildlife. Claypotts Castle offers opportunities to provide practical information to visitors.
