Part-time SEND Teacher
* Special school
* March start
* 2 days a week
* Planning expected
* Complex Needs
We are working on behalf of a new, fantastic special school that are opening up a new class after half term. This class has a permanent teacher who is going to be working 3 days a week, so they require someone who is able to lead the other 2 days!
The school are a brand new provision, so boast top of the range facilities - having visited the school the other day I can honestly say that the school is incredible! The staff I met with as well come across as absolutely lovely, they are clearly very proud of where they work.
The role
The role is within a KS1 class of complex special needs & disabilities. The class will be following an Early Years class model and many of the students will be non verbal. Due to this, it is essential you have had experience working with SEND in schools. The class is around 8 students where you will be ably supported by 4 TA's in the class and you will be expected to plan your lessons in partnership with the other class teacher.
You must be a naturally patient, positive and enthusiastic person. The school are open to different applications for this position but ideally you would hold a QTS.
