Protec Services, an IT and Security business based in Louth, is currently looking for an enthusiastic and skilled IT Technician to become part of our friendly team. As we continue to grow, we need a proactive individual to provide technical expertise across a range of IT services, offering support to both business and residential clients. Job Overview:
This is a permanent, full-time position offering 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, between 8am – 6pm. Approximately 42 hours a week. Occasional travel away from home may be required, and you will also be included in the call-out/remote support rota.
A full UK driving license is preferred as you will need to visit client premises. A company van will be provided for day-to-day duties. We are still happy to accept applications from people who don’t currently hold a full licence and can reliably commute to our premises in Louth daily.
Salary is competitive and based on experience, with an expected range of £25K – £30K, negotiable dependent on your skills and qualifications.
We offer 28 days holiday, including bank holidays with 2 additional days over the Christmas period when the business shuts down for up to 2 weeks.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar IT support environment or a service desk role. You will have a solid understanding of IT systems, network infrastructure, and troubleshooting techniques, and be able to apply your knowledge in a variety of technical situations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Visit client premises to install and service a variety of network infrastructures (business and residential).
• Provide IT support for systems including MS Office, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, domain management, virtual servers, routers, Wi-Fi, switches, and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IT devices and SIP/VOIP phone networks.
• Perform cable and network fault finding to ensure smooth operations and connectivity.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
