About the role:
As the Head of LII Architecture, you will play a crucial role in shaping the alignment of business capabilities and operating models with regional and global strategic objectives and Transformation initiatives, assuring the alignment of LII. This role will lead the Business Architecture team within LII and will work alongside other business & Tech architects with similar responsibilities. In addition, this role will also be responsible for defining and driving best practices, methods and standards for business analysis across strategic initiatives and building a community of analysts to deliver into initiative pods across LII.
This role will be involved in providing design authority support in the evaluation of alignment between strategic objectives and transformation.
This role will also work closely with the newly created GRS Business Architecture capability as it aligns across business segments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Capability, Transformation and strategic alignment: Lead other Business architects and analysis across LII to support the alignment, impact assessment and analysis on business capabilities impacted through change in transformation initiatives as driven by the strategic objectives of regional and global strategies.
2. Design Authority: Facilitates where required a design authority capability to ensure that impact to business capabilities are business models and operating models are effectively integrated and optimised.
3. Knowledge Management: Establishes and maintains the catalogue of data and insights for business architecture and analysis ensuring proactive collaboration and promotion on the value of information.
4. Frameworks: Establish and maintain a framework for business architecture and business analysis practices, templates and tools ensuring alignment with industry standards and aligned to agile ways of working.
5. Collaboration: Collaborate across business and operational teams, business agility and technology supporting in alignment and activities that drives value creation, act as an lead strategic advisor in providing insights where collaboration can enhance where value can be derived that are more than the sum of their parts.
6. Governance: Participate within the governance of transformation initiatives providing alignment insight into the objectives and decisions.
7. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that business architecture aligns with organisational goals.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in existing business processes and systems.
9. Technology Architecture collaboration: Work closely with the Technology Enterprise architecture capability in the alignment of business capabilities to Technology strategic initiatives.
10. Leadership: Build a strong community of business architecture and business analysts, through training, coaching and mentorship.
11. Organisation support: Drive the understanding and value of business architecture and analysis throughout the organisation.
Experience:
1. Experience in business architecture and business analysis, with a focus on enterprise-level strategy and design.
2. Experience in delivering business model or operating model changes within the insurance industry across global business units.
3. Experience of Senior stakeholder C-Suite interaction and expectation management.
4. Experience of delivering high profile, large programmes of Business Architecture, Analysis & Strategic work.
5. Experience of senior leadership team stakeholder management and communications.
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
7. Deep understanding of business architecture and analysis methodologies and tools, and working practice within an agile environment.
