A bit about the role As an Apprentice Administrator, you’ll be responsible with providing business support to other staff members, assisting with communication between departments and locations. You’ll handle data entry, welcome visitors and oversee bookings systems to ensure our service runs smoothly. This apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity to learn about office procedures, improve your organisational skills, and develop a solid understanding of administrative processes within a business. You will work across two of our services within Plymouth Monday-Friday (9.00 – 16.30) one of your working day will be used for course work/college attendance. If you’re ready to embark on a rewarding career path and grow your professional capabilities, we want to hear from you About the service You will work across Green Ark Family Hub & Manor Street Children’s Centre, two services that are open to the community on a regular basis. We work in partnership with other agencies such as health visitors, midwives, nurseries, and local schools. Family Hubs will bring more services together and expand this offer to support families from pregnancy up to 19, or up to 25 years old for young people with special educational needs or disabilities. Family Hubs aim to offer early support to families to help them overcome difficulties and build strong relationships. Services include help with infant feeding and perinatal mental health support as well as make it easier to access wider support such as smoking cessation. How you'll help to create brighter futures Undertaking varied administrative tasks including reception duty, meeting and greeting visitors, photocopying, filing, data input and collation and operating systems. Assisting or taking the lead responsibility for producing letters, reports and other documents using IT systems including MS Outlook, Excel and Word. Working collaboratively as part of a team and provide help and support to other team members. Answering the phones ensuring messages are processed and other enquiries dealt with in the appropriate manner. Processing incoming and outgoing post as required. Attending courses and training events as required to enhance skills, knowledge and experience to enable you to thrive in the role.
