Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Reablement Therapy team as a part time Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist.
The Reablement Team covers the intermediate care pathway beds in the South of Somerset. This currently includes beds at Cooksons Court, Sherborne House and La Fontana.
Do you enjoy completing rehabilitation in an inpatient setting for a varied, complex caseload? We receive service-users discharged from the acute hospitals that require ongoing rehabilitation prior to discharge to their next destination for a period of up to 6 weeks.

Main duties of the job
To provide high quality patient-centered care and specialist rehabilitation to adults referred to the Intermediate Care Bedded Pathway Service.
The post holder will be required to work their hours over 7 days, including out of hours, weekends and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the service.
Must be a car driver with a valid driving licence or have access to transport with appropriate business insurance in order to travel throughout the Trust, to meet the needs of the service

Qualifications
Essential
1. Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy
2. HCPC Registration
3. Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at recent postgraduate courses
Desirable
4. Post graduate accredited course in Care of the Elderly and/or rehabilitation
5. Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
6. Membership of relevant CSP special interest group
Experience
Essential
7. Proven post graduate experience with extensive clinical experience relevant to the post.
8. Experience of a wide range of clinical rehabilitation areas of practice to include elderly patients with complex multi-pathology, neurological, orthopaedics etc
9. Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
10. Experience in a Community setting
11. Experience of lone working
12. Experience of service development and review
Desirable
13. Knowledge of clinical governance
