The opportunity: This is a new role/ investment being made by a privately owned, award-winning consulting engineering company, to develop and implement the people strategy, reporting to the Board Sponsor for People & Culture. The People & Culture pillar of the overall strategic plan focusses on high quality talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, team member support and welfare, consciously promoting EDI throughout, and these will be your priorities. You will be the first HR specialist to join this very well-established national team of over 100 people and we recognise the potential for you to add value and progress onto the board in time on merit i.e. HR Director with a seat at the top table. The largest group of employees and your line manager/ Board Sponsor for People & Culture are in London and we believe the right blend of hybrid working will be 3 days per week in the office, including regular travel to our regional offices. We believe this is a fulltime position and at the same time welcome applications from people seeking parttime/ flexible working arrangements. The remuneration package includes a starting salary of £50,000- £60,000, car allowance, private medical insurance, 26 days leave, enhanced parental leave, charity day, salary protection insurance, life assurance Your profile: Relevant HR Management and leadership experience, gained within Consulting Engineering, Architecture, wider industry, or other professional services companies, covering the full employee lifecycle. Working knowledge of people practices, law and regulation, workforce planning, skills and capabilities, performance management, wellbeing, EDI, flexible working. Measuring and reporting people performance and taking action, positively influencing these metrics across the employee lifecycle. Chartered Member or Associate Member CIPD (or you could be qualified by experience) Excellent communication skills, proactive, collaborative, empathetic, challenging, and motivated to deliver and make a difference.
