Main duties of the job This role involves a range of responsibilities across clinical, operational, communication, and leadership areas, specifically in ophthalmic nursing. Key duties include assessing, planning, and evaluating nursing care, interpreting patient data, and responding to changes in patient conditions. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise care, and the capacity to work independently and under pressure. Clinical responsibilities include performing specialised ophthalmic assessments, administering treatments, managing emergency situations, and maintaining infection control.
