Our client is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to act as MEP CRE and support a Rail transformation project in Surrey Quays through design to completion. This will involve all stages from design, installation, testing and commissioning. Support to Mechanical construction teams to ensure successful delivery from a HSE, programme, quality and compliance perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a small Engineering team to deliver the design, installation, and commissioning of the Mechanical scope of works. This incorporates parts of the station which work to TFL technical standards.
Undertaking Mechanical design review in line with current project applicable TFL, NR, BS, EN and ISO standards and to ensure buildability and constructability. Identify any weakness or errors in the design that could jeopardise the functionality. Ensure HSE best practices are always followed.
Manage a 3rd party design consultant in delivering the design deliverables required for the project.
Ensure design risk assessment is compliant with installation parameters.
Participate in, and where required chair, HazID, HazOP and HazCON’s as required by the client.
Provide engineered solutions to key project problems to satisfy clients expectations, project restrictions and budget considerations.
