The role
As a HR Business Partner you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be working closely with business leaders and line managers to help build organisation and people capability, shape and implement effective people strategies and activities and develop approaches that support the achievement of shared organisational objectives. Act as the point of people expertise for a business area, leading the implementation of specific people/organisation programs and initiatives, liaising with HR Centres of Expertise and HR Shared Services as required to support the business area.
Day-to-day,you will be establishing and maintaining strong, pro-active partnerships with business leaders and line managers in order to partner with the business on a full range of both strategic and operational HR issues
* Sponsor, lead and ensure the delivery of complex HR and business change projects, ensuring alignment with both the Naval Nuclear and Clyde HR Strategies, and overall business strategy.
* Foster and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including colleagues, employees, Managers and Trade Union representatives, in order to ensure positive employee relations, sustain effective working relationships and provide pragmatic and innovative HR solutions.
* Keep up-to-date with Employment Law legislation and external best practice in order to be able to apply subject matter expertise to the development of policy, process or approach and ensuring added value to the business.
* Compile, analyse and present business information to line managers to inform functional and business decisions.
* Support the development of appropriate skills, knowledge and behaviours across the business to enable managers and employees to achieve business objectives in support of Company values. This includes use of appropriate levels of coaching and challenging practices where necessary.
* Ensure the deployment of HR processes, policies and procedures to meet the requirements of the area supported, including ensuring these are fully implemented and deliver the intended benefit to the business or areas supported.
This role is full time 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangmnets with 3 days a week in the office.
Essential experience of the HR Business Partner
* A deep knowledge of HR professional practice which may be achieved through professional qualification to postgraduate level or equivalent experience
* In-depth understanding of the organisation, its strategy and customers, and a very good understanding of the people challenges faced by the organisation.
* Able to demonstrate / experience in the following: Excellent oral and written communication skills, Negotiation and consultation, Change Management, Conflict Management

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
