Job summary We are seeking a senior physiotherapist with a passion for rehabilitation to help drive our intermediate care service and deliver a high standard of clinical interventions to patients in our intermediate care bed-based units across the Dudley Borough. The post holder will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a wide range of clinical needs and conditions, including orthopaedic, neurological, medical and surgical, as well as frail elderly co-morbidities. The post holder is required to work as part of a large multidisciplinary team committed to delivering and improving high standards of therapy within Dudley group NHS Foundation Trust. Main duties of the job To work as part of the intermediate care pathway, providing effective and efficient physiotherapy to patients with a variety of physical conditions as part of an multi-disciplinary team. Duties will include, assessment, therapy (both group and/or individual as appropriate), developing tailored therapy programmes through to discharge, as well as appropriate delegation of work to assistants. Working autonomously across various ICT units, using evidence based/client centred principals to assess, plan, treat and evaluate interventions. The post holder will be involved in service development, audit and development of junior staff.
