Job Title: Damp and Mould Surveyor - Social Housing

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Damp and Mould Surveyor to join a leading social housing provider. This is a crucial role that involves carrying out inspections, identifying damp, mould, and condensation issues, and recommending effective solutions to ensure the health and safety of tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive surveys and inspections of social housing properties to assess damp, mould, and condensation issues.
* Diagnose causes of damp and mould problems and provide detailed reports with recommendations for remedial actions.
* Work closely with housing officers, maintenance teams, and contractors to implement solutions.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as social housing standards.
* Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
* Advise tenants on measures to reduce condensation and improve ventilation in their homes.
* Respond promptly to complaints and prioritise cases based on severity and impact on tenant well-being.
* Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices related to damp and mould management.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in damp and mould surveying, ideally within the social housing sector.
* Relevant qualifications such as CSRT (Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatment) or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge of building pathology and moisture-related issues.
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
* A valid UK driving licence
