Job Description:
We are looking for a Complex Safeguarding Team Manager who will lead the delivery of our Exploitation and Missing Service and a team of Child Exploitation Intervention workers to deliver bespoke interventions to children and their families who are at risk of or currently being exploited.
The successful applicant will:
* Coordinate Missing from Home and Care processes, including Return Home Interviews, maintaining a tracker to monitor timeliness and quality.
* Manage a team of Child Exploitation Intervention Workers (CEIW) who support children and families impacted by exploitation and conduct Return Home Interviews for children in social care.
* Work within the Complex Safeguarding Team, ensuring consistent Child Exploitation risk assessments across Cumberland and developing effective multi-agency safety plans based on the child’s voice.
* Act as an advisor across services, linking with the Safeguarding Hub and providing feedback on Child Exploitation concerns at the MASH.

Conducting Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks is integral to our commitment to creating a safe and secure environment for our staff and the communities we serve. These checks play a crucial role in safeguarding, ensuring that individuals with appropriate qualifications and character are entrusted with roles where they may have access to children and vulnerable people.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children & Adult’s Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Children.
