Protocol Education are working with schools in the North Bristol area to appoint committed and keen Teaching Assistants to become a vital part of our support team. This role is perfect someone who is wanting to gain experience within different education settings and with children of all different ages, skills and abilities on a schedule that fits around both you and them. You will have your own online diary which you will update so that we can get you work on any days you want it. The Role; • As a teaching assistant you will work with different schools and year groups as and when needed. Either covering/supporting due to staff absence, extra staff needed or intervention support. • Helping to create a constructive and positive atmosphere for students to ensure the behaviour of the pupils are being supported and managed • De-escalating any situations within the classroom in the correct way certifying safeguarding procedures are always adhered. • Working 1:1 as in-class support/working in small groups and 1:1 within SEND children for short periods of time where required • Reporting any safeguarding concerns using the school’s referral procedures and safeguarding policies The candidate will: - Be excited and keen to teach and lead lessons and are an expert in their subject field - Have an open-minded approach to teaching/supporting in lessons - Be encouraging and positive toward students and their learning - Act as a role model for your students.
