This role involves working primarily in specialist settings with children diagnosed with autism. What will your responsibilities be : In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for children with autism, focusing on improving their communication skills. You will work closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, delivering therapy sessions, and monitoring progress. You will also provide training and support to families and caregivers, ensuring they are equipped to support the child's communication development. Additionally, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's care. Qualifications and Experiences: Registered Speech and Language Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Experience working with children with autism in a clinical or educational setting Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and evidence-based therapy approaches Excellent assessment and diagnostic skills Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in providing training and support to families and caregivers Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest research and best practices in the field Why work with Pulse?
