Job Description
Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Security Manager providing support to the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM). The Security Manager will provide support to perform administrative security functions under the direction of the activity security manager.
The Security Manager will assist the AF Cognizant Security Authority (CSA) in oversight of national security objectives supporting AF interests and provide day-to-day support for collateral and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities.
The Security Manager will perform analytical, planning, advisory, operational, or evaluative work that has as its principal purpose the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
Responsibilities
This position requires a highly motivated individual with Security experience to include the below essential job duties:
* Provide support to C3BM Security Team in managing daily tactical level personnel security actions including:
o Collateral, SAP and SCI in- and out-processing
o Security system data management
o Monthly reporting development
o Visit access requests
o Facilitating indoctrinations
o Clearance update process actions and tracking
o Assisting in delivering and tracking security education and awareness
o Supporting inspections SAVs and Reviews
* Provide technical advice and security support to multiple collateral programs and, where specifically called for, SCI programs within the directorate.
* Maintain effective working relationships with Information Protection (IP) leads, program managers, contracting officers, and others as needed.
* Assist in the development and writing of Operations Security (OPSEC) plans and other security documents.
* Review program documentation for public release, ensuring proper markings, classifications, and distribution statements.
* Provide classification guidance and assistance for all collateral and SCI programs.
* Prepare, process, and distribute inbound/outbound classified mail.
* Assist with preparing classified packages and maintain receipt records.
* Perform destruction of classified materials and CUI.
* Ensure personnel security clearances are kept current.
* Prepare, process, and/or review Visitor Access Request (VAR) for accuracy.
* Assist with inspection preparations and artifact creation as directed.
* Conduct effective entry and exit inspections.
* Follow and enforce the Government’s standard operating procedures.
* Assist IP lead with security container combination changes and maintenance.
* Assist with classified meetings and all associated support requirements.
* Provide support for security awareness and education programs.
* Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed.
Job Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must maintain a TS/SCI clearance and be SAP eligible
Education: BA/BS
Years’ experience: 10 years of directly related experience, five of which must be in the DoD
Certifications: Minimum SFPC or equivalent experience
Required skills may include but are not limited to:
* Understanding of counterintelligence threats and trends
* Familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate DoD and Air Force directives
* Familiarity with DISS
* Basic knowledge of the DD Form 254
* Able to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DoD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
* Demonstrated maturity in handling sensitive information
* Able to convey information accurately in written and verbal format
Other requirements may include but are not limited to:
* Must be willing to travel within the organization's direct area of responsibility
* Must be willing to adapt to contingency schedules if required
* Must be able to identify classified documents/information
* Must complete all required security training in accordance with DoD and Air Force regulations
