Duties & Responsibilities
THIS ROLE IS BASED AT CORFE CASTLE (WYTCH FARM), ENGLAND. CANDIDATES MUST LIVE WITHIN 1.5 HOURS COMMUTE TO BE CONSIDERED. CANDIDATES OUTSIDE OF THIS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
Purpose
Responsible for the effective provision and operation of inspection systems and services to the allocated installation and/or site to ensure that plant and equipment is certified in accordance with Oceaneering and Client codes of practice, strategies and legislation ensuring feedback of results to client Asset Group.
Functions
ESSENTIAL
1. Ensure Regulatory and client standard compliance.
2. Support the Line Manager (LM) in management of Oceaneering contract providing assurance on technical delivery and cost management.
3. Assist with the implementation of an Integrity Risk Management Process, aligned to the client Risk Management Process.
4. Ensure all work is complaint with relevant client engineering and safety standards and practices and review any revisions and feedback from client Integrity Focal Point.
5. Provide technical leadership and authority in designated inspection discipline, designating work where applicable to junior engineers within their technical capabilities, review and check junior engineer output.
6. Responsible for the production and ongoing management of the asset Annual Inspection Plans and client planning process compliance for corrosion monitoring activities.
7. Responsible for inspection / integrity input to asset Turnaround (TAR) programmes.
8. Responsible for suitability and technical content of the integrity management Written Schemes for appropriate pressure systems. (e.g. pressure vessels, pipework)
9. Ensure the effective application of non-invasive techniques and specialist technologies to limit intrusive inspection so as to maximise plant availability.
10. Ensure effective compilation of work packs in liaison with Technical Authorities (TAs) in compliance with Oceaneering and client procedures and planning criteria.
11. Accountable for ensuring timely execution of the defined inspection plan, co-ordinating with planner, maintenance and site teams as required.
12. Endorse inspection reports to ensure they comply with the relevant client STPs and Oceaneering procedures, instigate remedial action for any non-compliance.
13. Asset lead for inspection and responsible for implementing the anomaly process including recommendations from inspection anomalies and failures,
14. Attend Asset Integrity meetings and technical practice documentation reviews as required and maintain appropriate levels of contact with asset teams and third parties to ensure an effective inspection and integrity service.
15. Provide support to verification activities related to applicable performance standards.
16. Provide support to ensure suitable risk based fabric maintenance plans exist.
17. Provide management, guidance and direction to Oceaneering support personnel for the effective execution of the contract, including interfaces with Structural, Pipeline and Pressure Systems Engineers.
18. Maintain a running log of the status of current inspection jobs.
19. Attend Integrity Team meetings, including attending monthly Corrosion Management meetings.
20. Maintain and modify or update the Written Scheme of examination based on inspection findings.
21. Maintain and update the WIN files with inspection results.
22. Assist the client in preparing Risk Based Assessments for equipment and piping.
23. Review PSV test certificates against P&ID’s for correctness and determine inspection frequencies, based on test results.
24. Advise the Client on best-practice for inspection methods and inspection strategies.
25. Notify the Client in a timely manner, of any anomalies, or equipment considered to be in an unsafe condition.
26. Raise Repair Orders/Corrective MMS Work Orders when required.
27. Carry out Repair Order close-out inspections when required.
28. Collate NDT results and forward same to Client Integrity Team, for sign off in Maximo.
29. Liaise with external Oceaneering resources for specialist NDT and Engineering services.
30. Direct and be responsible for visiting specialist NDT teams.
31. Co-ordinate the workload for the internal and external Oceaneering personnel.
32. Mentor trainee inspection personnel.
33. Organise inductions for external personnel.
34. Liaise with Client Integrity Team to ensure optimum NDT resourcing is available, as and when required.
35. Manage CTRs in consultation with the Integrity Team Leader.
36. Ensuring that the Inspection Management achieves, or exceeds, the contract requirements.
Safety
37. Attend LM's or client safety meetings.
38. Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
39. Lead the Oceaneering Team in Safety and Environmental Performance.
40. Carry out Task-based Risk Assessments, and COSHH Assessments.
41. Carry out the briefings/Tool Box Talks to all visiting Inspection/NDT Personnel provided for specific or specialist jobs.
42. Raise Safety Observation cards (POST Cards).
Other
43. Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
44. Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
45. Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
46. The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.

Qualifications
REQUIRED
49. UKASRG2Category 2 compatible.
50. Both appropriate HNC/HND qualification and Incorporated Engineer accreditation by the Engineering Council or equivalent.
51. Previous experiencerelatedtothejobdescription. 8 year Minimum
52. Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of design, manufacture, metallurgy, welding, codes, standards, risk assessments and legislation associated with the in-service inspection of plant and equipment.
53. MustbefamiliarwithQA/QCsystemsandprocedures,NDEtechniques.
54. Ability to review and update and complete Written Schemes
55. Ability to generate a team approach to problem solving and a good communicator, both written and verbal.
DESIRED
56. Degree in an Engineering related discipline.
57. Chartered Engineer as defined by the Engineering Council or equivalent.
58. API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector and API 570 Piping Inspection.
59. API 653 Tank Inspection certification, if position is for a landsite.

61. NDT certification for core techniques.
