(clarify company benefits) Flexible working hours 40 hours a week About the Role: We are looking for an experienced On-Site Fitter to join our team, responsible for the repair and maintenance of plant machinery, lorries, and other heavy equipment at our site. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, welding experience, and the ability to diagnose and fix a wide range of mechanical issues. Key Responsibilities: Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults on plant machinery, lorries, and heavy equipment. Perform routine servicing and maintenance to ensure minimal downtime. Carry out welding and fabrication tasks as required. Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems when needed. Ensure all repairs and maintenance are carried out safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used. Always adhere to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with site management and operators to identify and resolve issues promptly. Key Requirements: Mechanical engineering experience and proven experience as a Fitter working with plant, lorries, and heavy machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to diagnose and fix issues efficiently. Welding and fabrication skills are essential. Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems (advantageous). Ability to read technical manuals and engineering drawings. Must have own basic day-to-day tools (larger/specialist tools will be provided). Valid CSCS card or relevant site safety certification (preferred). Full UK driving license (preferred).
