Job overview
This secondment opportunity to lead the Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Care Group’s Inpatient Transformation Programme presents a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring or existing NHS leader to help drive change in this key area across the Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Integrated Care Board area.
Working closely with internal and external partners and with reference to the ICB’s 3 year Inpatient Quality Transformation Strategy you will take a lead role for MPFT in developing and delivering the enabling work-streams and actions that align to and ultimately help achieve the NHS England strategy aims of improving population health and healthcare, and to localising and realigning mental health inpatient services over a 3 year period.
This post is pivotal to the overall coordination and delivery of MPFT’s inpatient transformation programme in the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin area.
Key Work Streams
* The 3-year Inpatient Quality Transformation programme led by the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care Board (ICB)
* The MPFT led Culture of Care standards review, across the Shropshire Telford and Wrekin Care Group’s wards and services.
* The MPFT led Patient Carer Race Equality Framework (in terms of its application and roll out across the Shropshire Telford and Wrekin Care Group in inpatient and community settings)

The post holder will:
* Work closely with internal MPFT staff, senior management, service users and external key stakeholders and partners across ST&W. This includes those with lived experience of mental ill health, the post holder will enable a truly co-produced vision of mental health care for the Care Group and wider Integrated Care System.
* Lead on monitoring and reporting progress against the transformation timelines to the Head of Operations and others as required, developing the essential, collaborative relationships with Professional Leads and Service Managers and others to achieve this.
* Lead, develop and support the delivery of safe and effective services, in accordance with the key national targets, clinical standards, service priorities and performance indicators associated with the transformation programme.
* Work in partnership with commissioners and other partner agencies to provide multi-agency services that achieve the best possible outcomes for patients accessing the service.
