Job summary To be a member of a multidisciplinary team providing high quality, holistic care and provide medical leadership within this team. Main duties of the job To provide a medical service to RGP hospice inpatients, outpatients and patients in the community setting and take part in RGP medical on call rota. To provide leadership and mentorship to junior medical team at RGP, supervising their clinical practice and providing guidance, support and training. To contribute to wider MDT education and opportunity to work with the Medical Education team to deliver teaching to a wider group of health care professionals both internally at RPG and to external audiences. To input into clinical governance processes at RGP to maintain high quality services, through participation in patient safety activities, audits and quality improvement activities. To represent RGP medical team at external meetings when required and to be involved in service development within local systems. Person Specification Qualifications Essential Have MBBS or equivalent medical qualification. Be eligible for full registration with, and hold current licence to practice from the GMC at intended start date.
