Evolve Child Care Limited is a residential care setting dedicated to providing a safe, secure and homely environment for children aged 8-18 years.
The children have been referred to live at our residential home because unfortunately they cannot remain with their family; sometimes this can be as a result of neglect, abuse or trauma.
You will be part of a team supporting children to affect positive change in their lives and providing a nurturing family environment.
Extensive training is provided to support you to understand better the experiences of our children, and to be able to support them as we help them affect positive change in their lives.
At times, there can be challenges; you need to be patient, kind, understanding and resilient to be able to support the children, and to act as an appropriate role model for them, to build positive relationships to enable them to address their difficulties, and achieve their full potential.
As well as providing support, advice and care for the children, you will get involved in general housekeeping tasks, cooking meals, and providing transport for children. You will accompany the children to medical or specialist appointments, take them to scheduled activities or shopping trips, and lead on fun days out.
You will have access to a pool car for use whilst you are on shift, so you must hold a current driving licence. Please note, we are in a rural location so there are no public access links nearby.
We will fund your L3 child workforce qualification, so this is a great opportunity to join a friendly team, enjoy a challenging (but rewarding) role and get qualified. If you already hold the required qualification, an enhanced rate of pay is available.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a satisfactory criminal record check with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
We have various working patterns available:
* Full Time – 10 x 25-hour shifts (including sleep in) per month.
* Part Time - 5 x 25-hour shifts (including sleep in) per month.
* Sessional/Bank – Zero hours
