Dealership Accountant - Helensburgh Toyota

About You

Full Time 36.5 Hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Support will be provided to ensure you can be your best in taking on the following responsibilities in this exciting role:
* Preparing monthly management accounts, using Excel and reports extracted from our Kerridge Drive system
* Reviewing and monitoring vehicle and after-sales transactions
* Manage and support a small Accounts and admin team
* Oversee Purchase and Sales ledgers and controlling debtors
* Reconciling Bank movement on a daily basis and prepare regular cash flow forecasts
* Submitting our monthly composite report, as required by Toyota GB
* Balance sheet reconciliation
* Review monthly management accounts and work consultatively with the management teams to identify trends and remedy problems
* Taking ownership of the budget process for our retail Centre and supporting departmental managers with their budget assumption and output
* Establishing and maintaining robust business processes and financial controls including statutory accounts and preparation for audits
* Responsible for payroll for senior manager team and supervising the payroll for the front line colleagues
* Ensure data is managed as a valuable asset in line with legal and regulatory requirements and any standards set out by the manufacturer
* Provide oversight and reporting against operating standards and the Franchise Partnership matrix – supporting the leadership team with tracking and action plans to meet the agreed standards
* Lead the finance and business case preparation for Capex; showroom and workshop refurbishment programmes
* Act as company secretary
* Act as lead for bank facility, loans and insurance renewals and negotiation.
* Liaise with external parties such as HMRC, Toyota GB, Toyota Financial Services as required.
* Provide statistical information to government bodies as deemed by statute
* Contribute to overall business strategy, growth and development with a hands-on approach.
Qualifications & Experience
·Ideally qualified ACCA/CIMA/AAT, part qualified, qualified by experience
·Previous motor trade or retail experience preferred but not essential
·Kerridge experience is preferred
·Ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines, often under pressure.
·Strong verbal and written communication skills
·Good analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to spot errors
·Pro-active and customer focused
·Ability to lead, influence and drive improvement across the company
·Upbeat and friendly personality
·IT literate with excellent MS Office and Excel skills
·Sage 50 Payroll experience
·Ability to manage and motivate a small team
·Ability to think creatively and contribute to future strategic direction.
