The CAD/Design Assistant will provide essential administrative support in all key processes throughout the Design Cycle. You will assist the Designers in all areas from product specifications through to production.
You will adhere to the Product calendar and Critical Path whilst working closely with the designers and buying teams to ensure key deadlines are achieved on time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assisting in all aspects of a design office
2. Following a brief from design concept to design presentation
3. Producing Production CADs for all the design team
4. Garment measuring and data capture
5. Product specifications and size chart
6. Maintain and analyse information to liaise between the designer/suppliers
7. To be able to work effectively alone, as part of a team and communicate at all levels including with senior management, suppliers and retail teams. This may involve visiting our suppliers and factories, i.e. note taking/minutes.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fashion/sports and will have a 24/7 interest in design.
2. Qualification in Fashion Design/Textiles management
3. Confident in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
4. Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office packages.
5. Confident in their ideas/decisions and be able to perform effectively under pressure and within timescales.
6. Adaptive to change, excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, ambition and the drive to progress.
