About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the seamless operation of our school by providing exceptional support to our Senior Deputy Head. As a valued member of our administrative team, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth communication, coordination, and operational efficiency across the school. Key Responsibilities:
* Providing comprehensive PA support to the Senior Deputy Head, including handling confidential duties and assignments.
* Managing and monitoring a busy schedule, resolving appointment conflicts efficiently.
* Preparing agendas and minuting meetings, including investigations, with attention to detail.
* Assisting with projects as required e.g. parking permits, lost property.
* Drafting professional communications and managing correspondence.
* Administering the School’s absence/cover/presence system for teaching staff, including record keeping and monitoring.
* Organising teaching cover and re-rooming lessons for events using iSAMS.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a candidate who is organised, resourceful, and highly professional. You should be able to handle a varied workload with calm efficiency. Key skills and knowledge include:
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
* Proficiency in administrative software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Familiarity with school management systems such as iSAMS, SOCS and Firefly is highly desirable.
* The ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork.
* Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
* Adaptability to respond swiftly to unexpected challenges.
* A positive and proactive attitude with a genuine interest in supporting the success of the school.
