Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Rochdale (Hybrid working available after 6 months probation)
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards.
Manage and oversee the preparation of client accounts, including year-end and management accounts.
Lead and supervise junior accountants, providing guidance and support.
Handle client queries and provide technical support and advice on financial matters.
Assist with tax computations, VAT returns, and other compliance requirements.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
Ensure the accurate and timely submission of financial reports to clients and regulatory authorities.
Manage and assist with audits and liaise with external auditors where necessary.
Stay up to date with changes in accounting legislation and industry best practices.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experiencein an accountancy practice.
Qualifiedas ACCA, ACA, CIPFA, or have completedLevel 4 AAT.
Proficiency inXeroaccounting software.
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting principles and tax regulations.
Experience in preparing financial statements and managing client accounts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a varied workload with attention to detail.
Ability to manage and mentor junior team members effectively.
Proactive approach to identifying improvements and solutions within accounting processes.
Desirable:
Experience with other accounting software is advantageous.
Knowledge of tax planning and advisory services is a plus.
A strong interest in continuing professional development and further qualifications.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum.
