Through studying and on-the-job training within an experienced and established team of Engineering Technicians, you’ll be helped to widen your skill set and gain all the experience you need to become a fully skilled professional. You will achieve a Higher National Certificate Civil Engineering qualification, without responsibility for the fees.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* You’ll get to work within an experienced and well-established team of Engineering Technicians, providing Engineering support for a wide variety of Engineering projects across the UK Rail Network, giving you the opportunity to widen your skill set and excel in Civil Engineering. Along with part-time education and internal training throughout the scheme, you’ll upskill yourself in the relevant skills and competencies required for Network Rail.
* Upon completion of the Level 4 qualification, you will be able to use your experience to become a fully effective professional with the opportunity to continue learning and developing, including employer support for application for professional membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers as an Engineering Technician.
