As a Senior Window and Door Surveyor & Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of our installations and repairs. You will carry out detailed site surveys, diagnose issues, and implement solutions for uPVC, timber, aluminium, and composite windows and doors. Your hands-on experience with these materials will help maintain the high standards that we are known for.
You'll work independently, ensuring every project meets our safety, quality, and customer satisfaction expectations.

Day Rate: From £200 (depending on experience)

Principal Accountabilities
Surveying & Diagnostics: Conduct site surveys to assess the condition of windows and doors, identify faults, and recommend solutions.
Installation & Repairs: Install, repair, and maintain windows and doors, ensuring all work complies with industry standards.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of surveys, assessments, and completed works.
Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot installation and repair challenges, providing effective solutions.
Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and delivering work to their satisfaction.
Working with Vulnerable Customers: Show empathy and patience when working with vulnerable clients, ensuring they feel supported throughout the process.
Safety & Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and maintaining safe working practices.
Maintenance: Ensure tools and equipment are in good condition and well-stocked for each job.
Tool Management: Maintain personal hand and power tools for the role.
Travel & Flexibility: Travel to various locations, adapting to different job requirements and schedules.
Technical Requirements / Experience / Qualifications
Essential:
12-24 months experience surveying all types of windows and doors, assessing conditions, and identifying solutions.
3-5 years hands-on experience installing, repairing, and maintaining windows and doors, including uPVC, timber, aluminium, and composite materials.
Proven ability to take accurate measurements, assess material requirements, and suggest solutions.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fenestration Installation (or equivalent qualification/experience).
Full UK driving licence, and it’s desirable to have a reliable van for job site travel.
Own hand and power tools for the role.

1. Experienced surveyor.
2. Strong knowledge and experience in carpentry and joinery techniques.
3. CSCS Card for site access.
4. PASMA / IPAF Certification for access equipment.
5. Knowledge of leading suppliers in the window and door sector.
