Job summary The purpose of this role is to undertake radiotherapy interventions to the highest professional and technical standards, working with Medical, Radiography, Physics and Administrative colleagues. Main duties of the job As a senior radiographer you will be under the supervision of the relevant Operational Manager. You will undertake all elements of the Pre-treatment Pathway including scanning and virtual simulation and be expected to undertake duties in the Mould Room to a high standard of complexity. You will undertake all aspects of delivering Radiotherapy using complex techniques and equipment. In addition, you will be expected to perform the relevant data preparation for treating patients and have exposure to all aspects of clinically relevant administration. The post holder will be required to work in all areas of the department and have a flexible approach to rota changes. As a key element of the role, the post holder will provide information, education, practical and emotional support to patients and carers during their radiotherapy episode. The Royal Surrey Cancer Centre is based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford and has a satellite service based at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill.
