Job summary The post holder will work as part of a Critical Care team of scientific staff who provide Clinical and Technical cover for several critical care areas. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the CCS will be responsible for the life support systems central to their safe and proper function and use. A broad range of patient connected apparatus and other vital equipment is involved which requires complex and often non-routine intervention by the scientific team. Training will be made available in all aspects of the job including clinical, technical and IT support. New skills, fresh challenges and wide experience are to be gained. Main duties of the job The post holder will operate in purpose built state of the art Critical Care Units equipped with the latest technology available to enhance the care delivered to level two and three patients of all ages and specialities. The constant expansion of these services provides fresh challenges and wide experience to be gained in the support of a diverse patient mix with specialties including; Haematology, Trauma, Vascular Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery,Renal Medicine/Transplant and Head & Neck Surgery.
