We support an energetic and social gentleman in his 20s with a learning disability and autism. Living in his own bungalow, he loves:
Being Social:
Interacting with his support workers, even without using words. Staying Active:
Enjoying long walks, hikes, gym sessions, bike rides, and swimming. Confidence in getting into a pool to support him is a must. If you share his passion for an active lifestyle, you'll be a perfect fit!
You will also need to provide emotional reassurance when experiencing behaviours of distress - full positive behaviour support training is provided but previous experience is essential
What Will You Be Doing?
Empowering Independence:
Help him live his life to the fullest, promoting his choices and supporting him in achieving his goals. Daily Living Support:
Provide comprehensive personal care, meal preparation, medication, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and laundry - cooking skills are highly valued. Structured Schedule:
Follow a structured schedule, essential for his well-being, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. Behaviourial Training:
Receive Positive Behaviour Support & PROACT-SCIP training to excel in this role.
Shift Patterns
Day Shifts:
7:30am - 3:00pm Day Shifts:
3:00pm - 10:30pm
Rotas are provided in advance to ensure a healthy work-life balance. This role will involve 2:1 support.
