HSBC Corporate Banking in the UK provides both domestic and international commercial banking services to our existing and prospective clients.
We are currently seeking an experienced team manager to join this team in the role of Business Client Services (BCS) Team Manager. The Team Manager will work within our specialist department who support our commercial customers with their everyday banking needs.
The responsibilities of the role include leading a team of associates to deliver excellent customer service across a variety of communication types. Coaching and developing our people to be a high performing team and supporting the business to achieve its overall strategy.
In this role, you will:
1. Lead a team of associates to align to HSBC’s shared ambition and values delivering fair outcomes for customers.
2. Responsible for the coaching, development, and performance management of their teams.
3. Ensure customer satisfaction is achieved by leading the teams to consistently deliver excellent service.
4. Drive engagement around process improvements through ideas in action, closing the loop with the frontline teams when the changes are made.
5. Ensure all applicable operational risk Standards and policies are adhered to by the team, reporting any breaches in accordance with local procedures.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
1. Contact Centre Managerial experience would be advantageous.
2. Experience in supporting, coaching, and developing colleagues would be essential.
3. Problem Solving skills with the ability to evaluate, challenge and formulate workable solutions are essential.
4. Stakeholder Management skills and experience are essential.
5. Effective time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize value adding and growth activities.
6. A forward thinking, progressive mindset with the ability to think strategically.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a prerequisite.
8. Knowledge of Commercial Banking products, services, and systems would be advantageous.
The base location for this role is Leicester. This role is hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.
This role involves a rotational shift pattern: 35 hours per week, across the opening hours of 8.00am - 8.00pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 2pm on Saturdays.
