Demand Planning Manager ***Global Consumer Organisation***
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 Per annum + Car Allowance, Up to 20% Bonus, Pension, Private Healthcare and Holiday.
Location: Warwickshire (Hybrid working ideally 3 days office-based and 2 days from home)
Our client, a leading global consumer organization, is seeking a Demand Planning Manager to spearhead demand planning efforts from a volume, creation, and value perspective across short, medium, and long-term horizons. This role requires close collaboration with operations, commercial transformation, and finance teams to deliver a best-in-class, customer-centric forecasting process.
What will my accountabilities be?
* Lead and execute short-term, mid-term, and long-term forecasts for: Volume performance, Creation performance & Margin performance.
* Embed volume and creation forecasting within the sales team using a granular, customer-focused approach.
* Provide commercial leadership in the S&OP process, collaborating with supply and transformation leads.
* Coordinate with the fulfilment performance manager to prioritize delivery based on customer type, profitability, and commercial strategy.
* Collaborate with the operations team to identify logistical efficiencies within the short-term order pool.
* Prioritize customers based on profitability (in coordination with the head of commercial).
* Lead initiatives to improve customer master data and prevent supply outages.
* Oversee the CAPEX allocation process for new customer creation, working with sales and engineering.
* Analyze and incorporate market insights and external factors into demand planning.
* Collaborate with the board on budgeting, planning, and results analysis.
* Provide input on inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate holds a degree and has over 3 years of experience in a demand planning role within an established S&OP cycle.
They possess strong analytical skills, with experience handling large data sets and a proven ability to develop demand forecasting systems.
The candidate has a successful track record of leading cross-functional teams without direct line management, and consistently meeting challenging targets and deadlines.
Strong communication, influencing, decision-making, and negotiation skills are essential. Additionally, they demonstrate strong financial awareness, effectively translating data insights into meaningful financial impact.
